Christmas promised to be lots of fun this year. We had Swimming Grandma and Grandpa (Eric and Irene) stay with us for a week. They took Macy and Finn swimming (hence their nickname!) and skating (Finn got a pair of skates as an early Christmas gift and got on the ice for the 1st and 2nd time) and introduced them to hockey by buying the kids their own hockey net and hockey sticks for the whole family. But then on the night before Christmas, after leaving Santa his cookies and milk and listening to Dad read "The Night Before Christmas", Macy suddenly came down sick, throwing up in her bed. The poor kid was sick every hour until 7 am. We started Christmas morning at 9am at which point Macy was just too weak to do anything but lay down on the couch and open a few presents with Mom's help. Finn and Leif enjoyed the day, though. Finn got a pair of Batman and Superman pj's with capes and I haven't been able to get him to wear any other pj's since he opened them! My little superhero.
Macy managed to enjoy a bit of time inbetween being sick to play with her new Crawling Pinkie Pie Pony (what she had asked Santa for). We finished the day with a wonderful turkey dinner made by Grandma and Grandpa, and we all watched Wall-E - twice! The kids love that movie!!

Jumping on the Blog-wagon
So, it's the new year and, as always, I am inspired to do something new. My new thing is this blog. I have decided to stop updating the kid's webpage and instead do this blog. With the webpage, nothing was saved. It was always a new update with no archives to look back at. This blog will allow me to keep a record of the kids and their pictures and activities throughout the year, and, if you are so inclined, it will let you look back at the previous entries as new ones appear. It may even make me update it more than the website (about once a month). Plus, it will let me put on more pictures! Always a plus for me!! I have been inspired to do this blog after following my friend Lisa's family blog for the past year (thanks Lisa!!!). Another good friend, Jennifer, has inspired me to do this after she started a 365 Project blog (taking a photo everyday and writing about it). So thank you Jennifer and Lisa!!! Hopefully I will keep up with this!
